Project summary
Families and communities are the first to respond to the needs of children affected by HIV/AIDS, and remain the main providers of care and support. However, community initiatives remain on the periphery and are not sufficiently documented. CYFSD was commissioned by USAID to document lessons learned by 6 community-based organisations providing services to children affected by HIV and AIDS in the Free State, Limpopo, North West and Western Cape provinces. Using various media, the project aims to facilitate the telling of stories of these organisations, reflecting on their successes and challenges with the goal of sharing experiences and enhancing service delivery.
