Project summary
This project aims to assess the impact of the application of both the Traditional Leadership and Governance Framework Act of 2003, and the Communal Land Rights Bill (when it comes into effect) on the equal rights of rural women, in terms of their access to land and resources, as well as their grassroots participation in political processes.
The project consists of a longitudinal study of communities, identified by their application for the registration of communal land.
